Morgan joined CSEL three years ago after becoming enthralled with a few classes from Dr. David Woods. She was quickly renamed Mo to reduce confusion, as she worked closely with Morgan Fitzgerald. In her time in the lab, Mo has worked on research projects in healthcare, transportation, and defense focused on human-machine teaming, representation design, and system’s safety. Her master’s thesis work is studying how care providers in the hospital align their perspectives at points of change for the patient, aiming to reveal patterns of perspective alignment, corroboration, and reframing in joint activity. She will continue into the PhD program after finishing her Master’s. When not in the lab, Mo likes to backpack and kayak, with her favorite destinations being the High Sierra and the Everglades, respectively.
