Morgan began her career at The Ohio State University in 2012 in the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department. During her undergraduate career, she interned at Volvo, The Edison Welding Institute, and Whirlpool, working as a project and change manager on front-to-end continuous improvement and optimization projects. Towards the end of her undergraduate program, Morgan was recruited into the Cognitive Systems Engineering Lab, where she quickly found a home and began her career as a research scientist. Graduating from ISE with her B.S. degree in 2016 and her M.S. degree in 2019, Morgan is currently pursuing her P.h.D. in this same field with an expected graduation date of 2022. Morgan has worked on research projects within the healthcare, aviation, and defense industries focused on human-machine teaming. She also has a special interest in trying to bridge the gap between science-based design solutions and pragmatic implementations that can be sustained in real-world practices over time.
